Tert butanol is an important intermediate for insecticides such as thiamethoxam, imidacloprid, and imidacloprid, as well as for acaricides such as imidacloprid and herbicides such as carbendazim. Sodium tert butoxide is used as an important sodium alcohol in the pesticide industry, mainly for the cyclization reaction of pyrethroids. |
