Tert-Butanol

Tert butanol is an important intermediate for insecticides such as thiamethoxam, imidacloprid, and imidacloprid,

as well as for acaricides such as imidacloprid and herbicides such as carbendazim.

Sodium tert butoxide is used as an important sodium alcohol in the pesticide industry, mainly for the cyclization reaction of pyrethroids.

Used as organic solvents and chemical raw materials, as well as raw materials for the preparation of drugs and fragrances.

It is also used as a solvent for measuring molecular weight and as a chromatographic analysis reagent.

Often used as a solvent for coatings and pharmaceuticals instead of n-butanol.

Used as a fuel additive for internal combustion engines (to prevent carburetor icing) and as an anti knock agent.

As an intermediate in organic synthesis and alkylating raw material for the production of tert butyl compounds.

It can produce methyl methacrylate, tert butylphenol, tert butylamine, etc., which are used for the synthesis of drugs and fragrances.

Dehydration of tert butanol can produce isobutene with a purity of 99.0-99.9%.
