New Application of Dicyclohexylamine in Cutting Fluid

Time: 2024-01-02 Hits: 1

Cutting fluid is an important lubricant and coolant in the machining process, which can reduce wear and heat between the workpiece and the tool, improve machining efficiency and product quality. Dicyclohexylamine is an organic compound with good surface activity and lubricating properties, which is widely used in fields such as metal processing and chemical product production. Adding dicyclohexylamine to cutting fluid can have the following effects:

1. Reduce the adhesive cutting phenomenon during aluminum alloy cutting

Aluminum alloy is one of the commonly used materials in industry, but it has strong adhesion and is prone to surface defects such as jamming, squeezing, and burrs. The addition of Dicyclohexylamine in cutting fluid can reduce the adhesion force between aluminum alloy and cutting tools, alleviate the phenomenon of sticking and cutting, effectively reduce the risk of burrs and tool jamming, and improve machining quality.

2. Improve machining accuracy

Dicyclohexylamine molecules contain electron rich methylene and imine groups, which are easily adsorbed on the metal surface to form a protective film, reducing heat, wear, and corrosion during the cutting process, thereby improving machining accuracy. In addition, dicyclohexane can effectively reduce the accumulation of hydrogen and other products in cutting fluids, avoiding safety hazards such as explosions.

3. Extend the service life of cutting tools

Dicyclohexylamine can form a uniform protective film on the surface of iron, reducing wear and corrosion on the tool surface during cutting, and extending the service life of the tool. In addition, due to its strong rust resistance, dicyclohexylamine can also provide certain protection for cutting tools.
