Description:

Stearic acid, legal number INS (international number system) 570, EECNo. 570, CAS [57-11-4], is a white or light yellow white solid in the chemical book. It is soluble in alcohol and acetone, and is easily soluble in ether, chloroform, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, carbon disulfide, amyl acetate, and toluene. Its melting point is 69.6 ℃, and it is one of the main components of fats and oils.


Applications:

Widely used in cosmetics, plastic plasticizers, release agents, stabilizers, surfactants, rubber vulcanization accelerators, waterproofing agents, polishing agents, metal soaps, metal mineral flotation agents, softeners, pharmaceuticals, and other organic chemicals.
Stearic acid can also be used as a solvent for oil soluble pigments, a wax pencil lubricant, a wax paper polishing agent, and an emulsifier for stearic acid and glycerides.
Stearic acid is also widely used in the manufacturing of PVC plastic pipes, sheets, profiles, and films;
